Abstract

Nasal cavity of goats presented 5 zones under scanning electron microscope: 1. the vestibular zone had stratified squamous non-keratinized epithelium; 2. the transitional zone-I was a transformation from stratified squamous to respiratory epithelium; 3. the respiratory zone presented ciliated, noneiliated and goblet cells; 4. the transitional zone-II was in the form of a vertical line in the caudal part of ethmoturbinates; 5. the olfactory zone occupied close to the cribriform plate of ethmoid bone and demonstrated olfactory vesicles and cilia.
