An indirect ELISA was performed to study CCPP in 1 049 gout sera, collected from organized farm, free flocks and slaughterhouses, using Mme, MmmLC, MmmSC, Mcc und Mccp. Over all 48.42% sera were positive for antibodies against above mycoplasmas. The prcvclance was highest in slaughterhouses followed by organized farm and free flock goats. The results indicated 37.17%, 23.83%, 22.87%,10.20% and 7.72% positive sera with Mmc, MmmSC, MmmLC, Mcc and Mccp respectively. A high percentage (68.7%) of cross reactivity was also obtained amongst different members of mycoides cluster.
