Correlates of employment of rural women in dairying

Abstract
The study was carried out in 12 villages of Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh. Personal interview schedule was administcred on randomly selected dairy owning 192 rural women. Data were collected on 14independent variables, in relation to 3 parameters, to study overall employment status of rural women in dairying. Correlation analysis revealed that caste, adoption behaviour, input availability risk orientation, management orientation and auitude towards dairy farming were negatively and significantly correlated, whereas attitude towards employment and productivity of dairy animals were positively and significantly correlated with overall employment status of rural women.
