Abstract

The sawdust-based poultry litter contammg 20% moisture was deep stacked m quadruplicate In 400 kg batches for 30 days and were assayed periodically The conforms were ehmmated Within 3 days due to the generation of heat (57°C) In the stack The OM or CP loss dunng theflTSL 10 days was not observed during the rest of the 20 days of deep stackmg period The in-sarco degradabilty of the post-deep stacked samples was comparable to the pre-slacked PL samples Deep stackmg at 20% moisture practically rendered PL safe and suitable as rummant feed
