Serum immunoglobulins in experimental aflatoxicosis, infectious bursal disease (IBD) and their interaction in chicken
43 / 17
Abstract
Serum IgG was appreciably lower in chicken-fed aflatoxin B1@2.5alpha g/g feed (groups A and AV) than in non-aflatoxin groups (V and C). Appreciable increase in lgG values was evident on DP17 and 14 in groups V and AV, Serum IgM values increased slightly to moderately after infection with IBDV (group V: DPI 3 to 14) as compared to controls (group C). The chicken of group AV showed slight decrease in IgM values on DP17 and slight increas on DP114 than chicken of group A. Serum IgA values in group V after infection with IBDV. Highly significant decrease (P<0.01) of mean in IgA value was seen on DPI 3 in group AV. At subsequent intervals (DP17 to 14), less significant decrease in the trend of IgA value was observed compared to aflatoxin controls (group A).Downloads
