Abstract
Kidney from adult mithun and yak were studied through dissections. Their topography and gross anatomical features were recorded. The kidneys were multilobular in mithun and yak. The cranioventral part of the right kidney of mithun was in contact with the very long caudate process of the liver. The left kidney of mithun had only 2 surfaces, viz. dorsal and ventral or ruminal. The renal hilus of the left kidney of mithun coursed obliquely from the lateral border to the ventral surface. The weight of right kidney of both species was heavier than that of the left kidney.Downloads
