Abstract

Semen samples from breeding bulls (22), comprising Murrah (4), Surti (5), Holstein Friesian (4), Jersey (4) and crossbred bulls (5) (Holstein Friesian x Gil' and Jersey x Gil' with 50 to 75% exotic inheritance) were obtained at fortnight's interval for 7 occasions, during the experimental period. Semm zinc, copper, iron, cobalt and manganese were estimented. The seminal plasma zinc concentration remained almost similar in buffalo and cow bulls. The seminal plasma copper and iron concentrations were lower in buffalo bulls than that in cow bulls. The seminal plasma cobalt and manganese concentration did not show any definite trend, in buffalo and cow bulls studied
