Parasitic monogenea of three exotic fish species to Bangladesh waters

A study of parasitic monogenea of three exotic fish species Pangasius hypophthalmus, Cyprinus carpio and Hypophthalmichtys molitrLt from different waterbodies of Mymensingh, Bangladesh, were made. Five species of monogenetic trematodes belonging to 4 different genera Dactvlogyrus, Silurodiscoides, Bffitrcohaptor and GyrodClc~vlus were collected and identified. They are Silurodiscoides siamensis from Pangasius hypophthalmus, B{fitrcohaptor indiclts form Pangasius hypophthalmus, Dac~vlogyrus minutes from Cyprinlfs carpio, Dactylogyrus hypophthalmichthys from Hypophtha/michthys mo/itrix and Gyrodactylus sp. from Cyprinus CQfpio. These parasites are recorded from the gills. The descriptions of these species with their taxonomic characters have been made.
