Outer membrane vesicles were prepared by extracting bacterial pellet with LCA buffer at pH 6.0. Fractionation of outer membrane vesicles on Sepharose 6 B- 100 colurhn yielded 3 peaks. Protein profile on 11 % SDS -polyacrylamide gel demonstrated that peak 1 contained outer membrane proteins of 32 kD, 40 kD, 42.5 kD, 52.5 kD, 62.5 kD and 66 kD molecular weight. of these 32 kD OMP is a marker protein for Asian HS isolates and has a definite role in protection against Pasteurella multocida infection.Downloads
