Gross and histopathological changes in cervix of prepubertal goat due to induction of oestrous

The study was conducted on 21 she goals. Three animals at each 4, 6 and 8 months of age were primed by linoestronol(orgmnentril) for 20 days. followed by administration of serum gunadotrophin (folligon) and chorionic gomadptrophin (chorulon) soon after the onset of oestrus at required dose. Three prepubertal and 3 normally pubertal she goats were included in the experiment. The study was conducted after sacrifiee of all the animals on third day of oestrus in induced and normally pubertal animals. The study revealed significant increase of length and width of cervix in 4 and 8 mounth old treated animals than that of corresponding control goats. Five annular rings were observed in all animals studied. Pseudostratified columnar epithelium with goblet cells lining cervival lumen of all animals, however. Goblet cells are more than control. The thickness of epithelial and muscular layer in induced animals of all age groups were significanltymore than control grats.
