A study was conducted to evaluate the effect of ascorbic acid, caffeine and chloroquine diphosphate on the enzymes(GOT, GPT. ACP and AKP) leakage from spermatozoa of crossbred (Holstein Friesian x Haryana) and Holstein Friesian
bull during freezing and thawing process. The mean activity of GOT. GPTand ACP in neat semen did not differ significantly
between breeds and between bulls within the breed. However, activity of AKP differed signifiqantly (P<0.05) between crossbred bulis. lncorporation of additives resulted in low enzymes leakage during cryopreservation. Leakage, of enzymes was minimum in presence of ascorbic acid followed by chlbroquine as compared to caffeine and control groups.
