Present studywas conducted to studythe efficiency ofpeR targeting spacer region polymorphism to differentiate 2 Salmonella serovars, viz. Salmonella Bareilly and S. Choleraesuis. In all the isolates ofSalmonella Bareillyasingle amplicon ofsize 580bp and in all isolates ofS. Choleraesuis 2 amplicons of size 440 and 580 bp were observed. These findings indicate that spacer region polymorphism can be utilized for differentiation ofS. Bareillyand S. Choleraesuis.
