Abstract

An investigation was undertaken to screen 906 (302 each of kidney, muscle and liver) porcine tissue for the presence of chlorpyrifos residues and the methodologies for the extraction, clean up and quantification were standardizes using HPLC. Of the total 302 pig samples analyzed, the chlorpyrifos residues were detected in 14 (4.64%) kidney, 14 (4.64%) muscle and 12 (3.97%) liver sample in the mean residual concentration of 0.096 to O.784Ilg.g-l.
