Abstract

An outbreak of histomonosis in fowls in India, was studied. History ofmanagement practices and clinical signs ofaffected birds was recorded. Gross lesions were noted after postmortem. History revealed that rice husk mayhave carried the Heterakis gallinarum. The histomonsis in India have a low prevalence.
