Present study was undertaken to assess the effect of supplementary feeding of urea molasses multi-nutrient block (UMMB) on ovarian activity of anoestrus buffaloes. Estrus was induced in 90% of the 40, UMMB supplemented anoestrus buffaloes as compared to only 28% of the 14 unsupplemented controls. The first service conception rate was 92 and 100% in the respective groups. While heart girth remained unaffected, the body condition score (BCS) improved significantly in UMMB supplemented but not in control buffaloes. Voluntary feed intake, milk yield and milk fat increased by 25, 08 and 7%, respectively, following UMMB supplementation. Circulatory concentrations of glucose, total protein, albumin and urea in all buffaloes was within normal physiological limits and did not change during the period of study. It is concluded that UMMB supplementation improved general health, productivity and induced ovarian activity in anoestrus buffaloes.
