Abstract

Crossbreed Holstein finishing steers (18) of 200±25kg weight were assigned randomly to 1 of the 3 groups of having 6 anImals In each with different, rations of study the effects of different levels of calcium long chain of fatty acids (CaLCFA) on growth, feed converSIon efficIency and dry matter intake. The experiment lasted for 120 days. In each group there were 6 steers and the control group received 0% of Ca-LCFA, first group 30/0 and the second group 60/0 of CaL~ FA., Overall physilogical reaction like respiration rate and body temperature in all the groups were not significant. Likewise on the observation of feeding behaiors lesser time was taken in eating in control groups than other groups. In rumination time none of the experimental steers showed significant effect.
