Abstract

Healthy adult mithun bulls (5) aged 5 to 7 years were slaughtered to study certain carcass characteristics. The amount of blood loss was 2.95% of the live weight and the dressing percentage was recorded as 54.57%. The values of other carcass characteristics were higher than the average values recorded for nondescript cattle.
