The histomorphological studies on the ureters of a hermaphrodite pig revealed that it was made of tunica mucosa, propria submucosa, muscularis and adventitia but no serosa. The transitional epithelium of ureter consisted of 3-10 cell layers and its acidic and neutral mucopolysaccharide contents were moderate. The lamina propria-submucosa was made up to loose connective tissue, The tunica muscularis was oriented as outer and inner longitudinal layers and middle circular layer of smoothmusxle fibers. It was lined externally by tunica adventitia.Downloads
