Abstract

Rope-making by the farmers in the Hoshiarpur districtr, got a new lease of life due to the introduction of NAIP sub-project. With the help of ICAR funding through NAIP, 20 foot-operated rope-making machines could be purchased and these could be operated by women as well as old people since they are ergonomically designed.
