Abstract

A NAIP scheme, implemented at Ayakudi village of Tamil Nadu could help to boost up guava production. Twenty-five guava farmerss of this village were selected and trained to take up scientific cultivation. As a result, increased productivity and quality of fruits pushed the farmers towards getting a better price from the market. For better co-ordination and smooth transacton of technical and marketing skills, the farmers have also formed “Ayekudi Guava and Fruits Producer Company Ltd.â€
