Abstract
Farming feeds the world and also provide livelihood to about 50% of world population and that for 65- 70% of Indian rural people. Family and small scale farming are inextricably linked to the world food and nutritional security and it is the predominant form of agriculture in food sector. Food and nutritional security (FNS) is among the most basic of human needs and it should be a central development agenda for each nation of the world coupled with moral and legal right to food for every person on the planet earth. Though the world food production is enough for the present population but still more than 800 million people in the world are malnourished on account of dramatic inequalities in physical and financial access to food by one and all. As of now, salvaging of hidden harvest and minimization of post-harvest losses are the best options to increase per capita food availability to provide FNS to one and all at a low cost.Downloads
