Abstract
In the present agricultural scenario indiscriminate use of agricultural chemicals has resulted in to a very serious situation, and introduction of pulses in our cropping system is a must. They contribute significantly towards improving crop growing environment, including soil nutrient status and soil physical condition. Receding water resources further increase their importance in Indian agriculture. Most of the population in the country is vegetarian and pulses form, an alternative to meat for complementing protein requirement When blended with cereals, they provide a very good option in improving the health of our peopleDownloads
