Wheat Symphony in Sustaining Food and Nutritional Security
86 / 47
Abstract
Wheat is seen to have an edge over other major cereals in itsnutrition content and also shows scope of further improvement in its
nutritive properties. Sustaining production, productivity and nutritional quality of a staple food crop like wheat has so far been a
splended task but it will be an uphill task in the future faced with climate aberrations, mounting biotic pressures, the new rust races,
declearating soil conditions and depleting water resources.
