Strategies for promotion of production and trade of sunflower and sesame in China for human nutrition

Abstract
In this article, the key drivers for enhanced productivity of oilseed crops with particular reference to sunflower and sesame in China vis-Ã -vis India are discussed. Some of the approaches followed include intensive agriculture, value addition and product diversification, integration of all stakeholders from grower to industry in the product chain, establishment of technology parks to boost trade, viable public-private partnerships, creation of awareness of the crops through establishment of crop museums, skill development at all levels, etc.Downloads
