Abstract

Organic fertilizers are naturally available mineral sources that contain moderate amount of plant essential nutrients. They are capable of mitigating problems associated with synthetic fertilizers and reduce the necessity of repeated application of synthetic fertilizers to maintain soil fertility. Organic fertilizers are safer than chemical fertilizers, as they improve the soil physical, chemical and biological properties along with soil carbon sequestration. Their slow-release nutrient system provides stable nutrition to plants throughout periods of vegetative, flowering and ripening
growth. This controlled release of organic fertilizers is eco-friendly, effective and an advanced way to maintain sustainable agriculture productivity.
