Abstract

Farmer may not go for costly commercial fish feed for semiintensive
carp culture. Locally available low-cost feed ingredients can also produce good fish feed. Farmers can prepare farm feed for their own fish crop at their farm site. Pellet form of farm feed gives better
feed performance over mash farm feed. Carp production up to 4
tonnes/ ha and net profit of Rupees 2,43,752 is shown by carp growers from 0.66 ha pond in Odisha.
