Abstract

Rice cultivation by traditional method is known to consume a lot
of water. By Srividhi system or technique, Haryana state has been the first to show how rice with lowwater requirement can be grown.
This technology is being followed in 35 countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America also, where it has been shown that water is saved with many fold increase in rice yield.
