Abstract

 

Tuberculosis and anthrax are the 2 most dreaded disease affecting humans and animals. The study made in the state of Odisha has been able to establish the fact that higher the sanitation and distance of infected animal to man/animal lesser is the incidence in the case of tuberculosis. Anthrax disease in animals in Odisha has been found to be endemic for most of the districts. The precipitating factors for causation of Anthrax in the state are many. The study thus has been able to throw light on the influencing environmental and ecological factors for precipitating zoonotic diseases in the State.
