Abstract

Kachnar is an underutilized wild crop. It is a rich source of vital nutrients and minerals especially calcium and phosphorus. The value-added products prepared from kachnar have been developed
in the department of Food Science and Technology, Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan. These diversified products may add value to the crop and provide remunerative returns to growers if popularized.
